This month’s Featured Fit Dad is U.S. Marine and IFBB Pro Xavisus Gayden.

X-Man has a consistent message of hard work and commitment, whether its in his work as a Marine Gunnery Sergeant, in the gym working out, or at home as a family man.
Here is Xavisus’ story:
When did you first get into fitness?
I first got into fitness while deployed to Iraq in 2007.
What activities do you do to keep fit and active?
Weight lifting and various cardio routines, as well as my military training.
What is your favorite fitness memory or achievement?
Winning the Overall USA Championship in 2013 in Las Vegas and placing Top 10 in my first Mr. Olympia in 2014.
What is your favorite workout?
Leg day, lol!
In what ways do you hope to influence your children through fitness?
Eating healthier and maintaining an active life through sports.
What words of encouragement would you have for other dads out there who want to be healthy and fit?
There are many reasons why we can choose to put healthy decisions and opportunities to increase our level of fitness to the way side, but putting that extra effort to try to make yourself better doesn’t just help you, it helps everyone around you.
